Ahimsa paramo dharmaha, Dharma himsa tathaiva cha

Ahimsa paramo dharmaha, Dharma himsa tathaiva cha

Non-violence is the highest principle, and so is violence in defense of the dharma righteous

  1. is silsile me I am pasting the details from a site: Ahimsa paramo dharmaha, Dharma himsa tathaiva cha.

There are several Samskrit half-statements, we often use that sounds full statements (Truth) such as Ahimsha Paraamo Dharma

We need to correct such half-statement' s half-knowledge, and come out from Gandhian delusion. For Gandhiji, Ahimsa was Paramo dharma. But he never thought, Himsha is also dharma/noble to protect the righteous. a function of Ksatiras.

We the followers of Sanatan dharma value Ahimsa, but we must know when Himsa is required to protect dharma and righteous people. Bhagavan Sri Krishna said in the Bhagavad Gita (BG 2-37):

    hato va prapsyasi svargam
    jitva va bhoksyase mahim
    tasmad uttistha kaunteya
    yuddhaya krta-niscayah

O son of Kunti (Arjuna), either you will be killed on the battlefield and attain the heavenly planets, or you will conquer and enjoy the earthly kingdom. Therefore get up and fight with determination.
    so the complete statement is
Ahimsa paramo dharmaha, Dharma himsa tathaiva cha.

('Non - Violence is the greatest Dharma,So too is all righteous violence')

Also note all our Deities bear arms, not just ornaments! They are not seen nailed to wooden planks. Still note the irony of cults that 'talk' peace and dress like angels while merrily slaughtering people from various nations on a continuous basis. Every Hindu is given a message that intervention is inevitable when there is onslaught on those following Dharma. It will be very cruel intervention with no parallels. So don't provoke a Hindu. No big waves hit, it will be a total washout in massive tsunami. No amount of wailing will help those testing Hindus on hourly basis.

With so many calls to wage war against humanity, in the holy books of some relegions, I once heard a relegious scholar claim that a particular semetic relegion gives highest priority for love towards not only fellow beings but even animals. As an example of their love towards animals he said, while the book lays down all the rules to be followed in slaughtering an animal,it lays extra emphasis on the quality of knife to be used. The knife must be very sharp and the agony of the animal will be minimum if the knife is sharp. This is their way of expressing love towards animals.
